RCMRD attended the 9th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Eastern Africa Land Administration Network (EALAN) held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 24-27 July, 2017. The four-day event was hosted by the University of Nairobi’s Department of Geospatial and Space Technology. The EALAN conference was attended by more than

one hundred participants and had over sixteen presentations. The event’s theme was ‘Promoting Land Administration and Governance for Sustainable Development in Eastern Africa’. Among the key issues of discussion was the development of a more purpose-oriented land administration approach. RCMRD is a member of EALAN, which was established with a view of creating a platform for knowledge and experience exchange for provision of quality services to achieve reliable land policies and governance.
