RCMRD Staff Visit Mwamko Children’s Home for CSR Activity

On 6 September 2025, staff from the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD) spent the day with children from Mwamko Foundation, Kahawa West, as part of the Centre’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility. The visit was a meaningful opportunity to not only donate much-needed items — including a water tank and food supplies — but also to pour into the lives of the children through mentorship, counseling, and career guidance sessions.
Speaking during the mentorship session, Madam Elizabeth from the RCMRD Training Institute (RCTI) encouraged the children with a powerful reminder: “You can be anything you want to be.” Her words inspired hope and highlighted the importance of resilience, education, and self-belief.

The CSR initiative not only addressed immediate needs such as food and access to clean water but also contributed to the long-term wellbeing of the children. By combining resources with mentorship, RCMRD reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development — recognizing that nurturing future generations requires both practical support and emotional empowerment. This activity reflects RCMRD’s values of community engagement, social responsibility, and capacity building, extending the Centre’s mission of development beyond geospatial services into tangible community impact.
