SERVICES
Training
Our core business is in capacity
building in geo-information technologies and their application
in resource assessment, planning, management and monitoring
for resource technicians, managers and scientists. We conduct
short-term standard and customer tailored training courses
(one week to three months) for our clients. The cost of each
course will depend on the number of participants and the duration.
Our standard
training courses, which we offer throughout the year, are as
follow:

of Remote Sensing and GIS in Early Warning Systems for Food
Security, Disaster Management and Environmental Monitoring

of Remote Sensing and GIS in Natural Resources Mapping,
Monitoring and Management (April and September)

Database Development and Management for use in Planning
and decision Making (May and October)

and Digital Cartography (June and November)

in a variety of software i.e. Arc View, ArcGIS, IDRISI,
Steamer Image Processing Software etc

data processing and digital data development for land surveyors
(February and July);

Fundamentals
of modern land surveying (March and August);

Concepts
of Land Information System (LIS) (April and September);

Introduction
to digital mapping using satellite data (June and November).
We also conduct Certificate
(three months) and diploma (18 months) courses in Information
technology in collaboration with Jomo Kenyatta University of
Agriculture and technology. Also IMIS training courses are offered
at diploma and higher diploma levels.
