Library

Our library is well stocked with recent publications, magazines and newsletters on geoinformation technologies (remote sensing, GIS, GPS) and their applications as well as ICT publications. The library is extensively used by researchers (M.Sc and PhD) from our local universities whose research involves mainly the use of remote sensing techniques and GIS. • Hydrological digital database for Somalia, UN Food and Agricultural Organization, Nairobi, Kenya.

• GIS database and Decision Support System for Areas in the East African Rift Valley Region, 1998-2001. Project funded by European Union;

• Land Cover Mapping of Kordofan Region of South Sudan using High Resolution Satellite Imagery (2002-2003). Contracted by Yam Consultants Ltd, Khartoum, Sudan and GIBB (Africa) Ltd;
