generating activity to the Centre. Due to it’s demonstration
of viability there is need to expand it’s services to
benefit all the member States. |

Justification |
For the last one
year of the existence of IT within the Centre, it has
fully demonstrated its viability. The number of Corporate
participants who have attended our IT training programs
and the number of students undertaking the Diploma Course
has proved this. The IT Section has so far trained over
2,000 participants in various courses (March, 2001 to
March 2005) most of the participants have send back encouraging
feedback like improved efficiency at work, got employed,
etc. In this regard there’s a need to absorb the
IT section to the Centre so that the benefits exhibited
could be extended to contracting member States and new
services launched in the section. The Section has
been working with an independent budget and still making
some profit. |
